Play, learn and create with Sculpture at Scenic World’s 2018 workshops designed specifically for small people. These free workshops will run daily throughout the school holidays, and every Saturday and Sunday during the exhibition. All workshops are held in the Makers Space in the main courtyard at Scenic World (next to the Sculpture Shipping Container Office). These exciting, art-making activities are for children, families and carers to explore together.
Inspired by Rochelle Quantock’s toy block covered trees. This free workshop activity encourages children to explore the juncture of nature and the manufactured world through building natural shapes from colourful blocks.
Taking Oliver Ashworth-Martin’s artwork Lost Fossil and the ancient stratigraphy of the rocks in the Jamison Valley here at Scenic World as inspiration, build your own terrarium garden complete with tiny sculpture inside.
Complete your mission to become an Art Ninja by creating your own ninja mask in this exciting workshop!
Join Echo, Kedumba and Sassafras on an adventure into the rainforest. Pick up your Kid’s Trail Guide, illustrated by local artist Hannah Surtees, when you buy your tickets, and head down into the rainforest to complete the activities. Stop by the Makers Space in the courtyard at Scenic World to take part in our FREE WORKSHOPS and earn your ninja badge.
