Emily Kaar’s “Anthropocentric Rhizome”

Blue Mountains-based artist Emily Kaar has been busy creating her installation “Anthropocentric Rhizome” for Sculpture at Scenic World 2017.

Constructed using hebel, aerosol paint and string, Anthropocentric Rhizome is inspired by the tension between the urban and natural worlds.

When completed there will be 35 pieces joined together by multiple interconnected roots.
