Compression represents the interplays between soft and hard elements both physically and emotionally. Emotions are the conceptual base underpinning Keogh’s philosophical explorations. He explores the intangible qualities of the human cognitive process through sculpture and is able to make the intangible, tangible. The opposing perceptions of solidity and space, the interplay of contrasting forms, the plays of light and shadow allow the viewer to explore these interactions.
